In today’s CapCon, two polls on the race for governor released Wednesday show very different results for Gov. Kathy Hochul and her Republican opponent, Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman.
Then, Hochul has 14 new bills on her desk, including a few well-timed for Climate Week, which is this week in New York City.
Later, a new super PAC has been registered to support Saritha Komatireddy, the Republican nominee for state attorney general, and oppose incumbent Letitia James.
And, Blakeman’s ex-wife doesn’t share his political views, if her hefty campaign contribution to Hochul is of any evidence.
Plus, a new bill seeks to give New York a more comprehensive way to decide which areas of the state need more resources through a new measure of economic security.
