✍️ What does Trump’s AI executive order mean for New York?
The president wants a clear national rule so artificial intelligence can grow. Experts aren’t quite sure yet what this portends for New York.
Trump’s executive order yesterday came as the Empire State made big AI news of its own: Gov. Hochul signed two AI bills — one which requires disclosures for AI actors in ads, the other regulating the use of AI in the film industry after an actor has died. I detail both below.
Hochul is also weighing the Responsible AI Safety & Education (RAISE) Act, which would create strict regulations for developers. The governor wants the law rewritten so that it is nearly identical to a similar California Law, City & State reported.
