🔎 Takeaways for New York from Biden’s State of the Union

🏛️ President Joseph BIDEN delivered this year’s State of the Union address Thursday night, with a speech that Democrats praised and Republicans panned. 

In Thursday’s newsletter, we told you about four things New Yorkers would want to watch for in Biden’s speech: immigration, the economy, abortion and Israel. 

  • He spoke about all four, and while he didn’t mention New York by name, there were some items that have a connection to the Empire State.

☑️ Immigration

Biden spoke about immigration policy, but did not touch on the migrant crisis in New York, where more than 175,000 migrants have arrived over the past two years.
