🗺️ Morelle dispatched to state Capitol to discuss redistricting overhaul

It was a homecoming of sorts Tuesday for U.S. Rep. Joseph Morelle, who met with top Democrats at the state Capitol Tuesday to discuss the state’s redistricting process.

Morelle is a familiar face in Albany, where he served as majority leader of the state Assembly for more than five years until his election to Congress in 2018.

“It’s been a great opportunity to come back and see a lot of friends and talk about an issue that is critically important to the future of this republic,” Morelle said after meeting with Gov. Kathy Hochul.
