☑️ The proposed change is headed to the ballot in November, but not everyone agrees with how it should be presented.
There’s often a lot of analysis devoted to how questions are worded in polls. Sometimes, the way those questions are posed might change a respondent’s answer.
Take the Equal Rights Amendment — a proposed addition to the state Constitution that voters will consider on the ballot in November.
The amendment expands the categories of people protected from discrimination under New York’s Constitution.
When two polls from Siena College asked voters about issues related to the amendment, they received two very different results.
