🔎 As Dems mull special election changes for NY-21, Lawler calls for RICO probe
The state of New York may soon have something in common with the head of the Gambino crime family, Enron and the Hell’s Angels.
Rep. Mike Lawler — the current Republican favorite in next year’s race for governor — wants the Trump administration to open an investigation into New York under RICO, a law often reserved for organized crime rings.
“I am going to be requesting that the Department of Justice open up a RICO investigation into New York state because this is as corrupt a scam as we have seen,” Lawler said, referring to how Democrats have molded state Election Law to broaden access to voting in the last six years.
