🚭 The state is cracking down on illegal cannabis shops. What about illegal flavored vaping products?
🏪 New York banned flavored vaping products in 2020, but they’re still being sold illegally around the state.
Cannabis has been a focus of this year’s legislative session, mostly because of stores illegally selling products that include the drug.
To combat the trade, Gov. Kathy HOCHUL and the Legislature gave localities the power to crack down on those stores in this year’s state budget.
A store’s other licenses, including their liquor license, would be at risk if they’re caught selling illicit cannabis products.
But enforcement of the state’s ban on illegal and flavored vaping products also continues to be a problem.
