💵 Stressed N.Y. cities should be wary of changing economy, comptroller says

Most of us experience some kind of fiscal stress at some point in our lives but it’s usually not recorded and posted publicly for all to see.

That’s not the case for New York’s cities, towns and villages. The state comptroller’s office measures the level of fiscal stress each municipality is under.

This year’s report, released Thursday, lists 14 municipalities in New York whose fiscal stress was designated as significant, moderate or susceptible based on last year’s data — a big drop from 69 in 2014. I’ll have this year’s list in a second.

I know this sounds boring but something else in the report also stood out to me.
