🧠 Lawmakers plot end-of-session priorities and pathways
It’s that fun time of year when the Capitol is full of advocates and lobbyists desperate for two minutes of time with lawmakers before they leave Albany for the year.
The clock is ticking on the end of session, though there’s more sand in the Assembly’s hourglass. That chamber plans to gavel out for the year on June 17, while the Senate plans to stick to the scheduled end date of June 12.
Leadership in the Senate met for hours on Wednesday to discuss their game plan for the end of session. They were expected to approve a package of ratepayer relief bills this week.
