Good afternoon — it’s Wednesday and Leif Erikson Day.

Proposition 1 — called the “Equal Rights Amendment” by supporters — is on the ballot in November.

You might have seen a story I wrote about Prop 1 that popped over the weekend. Check it out at that link if you’re interested. (Free link for paid subscribers below)

But there was a lot that I didn’t put in the story. It was already nearly twice as long as I intended and some of that material just didn’t fit with the rest of the story.

I’m going to bring you inside my reporting on that to lead today’s CapCon but there’s plenty more below if that’s not your thing.
