📆 This year’s legislative session is scheduled to end a week from today, and there’s a lot on the table for lawmakers to consider, the Assembly speaker said.
The end of this year’s legislative session is just seven short calendar days away.
Lawmakers are in their districts this weekend, but then they’re back at the Capitol Monday for a final week of seeing their colleagues, advocates, lobbyists and reporters (the worst) this year.
There’s always the possibility of a special, or extraordinary, session, but members have campaigning to do.
If you’re a regular CapCon reader, you’ll know that I’ve been watching a lot of different bills leading up to the end of session.
And we got an update on many of them Thursday from Assembly Speaker Carl E. HEASTIE, who spoke with reporters in the afternoon.
