🗣️ Trump says Cuomo ‘has a shot’ in NYC mayor’s race
President Donald J. Trump last week declined to endorse anyone in the race for New York City mayor, saying he didn’t want to get involved.
He quipped about how Curtis Sliwa, the Republican nominee, was a perennial candidate and decided not to back incumbent Mayor Eric Adams, with whom he’s had a relatively positive relationship.
But he wasn’t asked at the time about how he’d feel if former Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo decided to remain in the race.
