⚖️ Zeldin claims parade of horribles will follow if voters approve Equal Rights Amendment

🖋️ A group of Republicans gathered at the state Capitol Monday to urge voters to reject a constitutional amend on the ballot this November.

It’s 2022 again — former Republican candidate for governor Lee ZELDIN was at the state Capitol Monday for the press conference.

He was joined by a handful of Republicans from the Assembly to build opposition to the Equal Rights Amendment, a proposed change to the state constitution on the ballot this year.

  • The bill would enshrine constitutional protection from discrimination based on ethnicity, national origin, age, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, and reproductive health care choices.

  • Race, color, creed and religion are already protected from discrimination in that section. The amendment would just add to those.

Zeldin, a former congressman, and the other speakers called the amendment a “trojan horse” that would allow transgender women and girls to compete in women’s sports.
